What A Day
1-26-2020
Royal Polaris Crew
Hello everyone;
What a day we had. Besides the great weather and great people to fish with, the Yellowfin didn’t let us down. We had an excellent day of tuna fishing, with most of the fish in the 110 to 130 size range, with one stand out fish caught by Steve Oba. Steve’s fly-line sardine was inhaled by a 192 pound giant Yellowfin, which would be the largest of the trip so far.
This is only day 2 of the trip, and our passengers are wearing down fast. The kite action was hot and heavy in the morning hours, as we went through the rotation 3 times, by lunch time. At one point we had one anglers fighting his kite fish, and it was his turn on the kite again. Now that’s hot and heavy action.
With this type of fishing, you will have some heartbreaks. One of our veteran angler was on a giant for about an hour, the fish was at color, about thirty feet from being gaffed, and Pow!!!! The hundred and thirty pound fluorocarbon would find it’s breaking strength.
With lots of time left, and good signs of fish, we are hoping that we will have the man power to keep this up, trips that you dream about are happen now.
So if you looking to book that dream trip on the Royal Polaris, give our office a call and you too can live the dream. We have a few spots open on a couple of our long trip this season. Team R/p.
