Where do we park?
There is paid parking available in a gated lot outside of the Fisherman's Landing building. The first 30 minutes are free after that, it is $2 per hour or $14 a day. There is free parking down North Harbor drive as well, but this tends to fill up fast during the summer. We recommend showing up an hour early for your trip. If you are going on a longer trip ask an office staff member for a parking pass for a special lot between the Best Western & Bartell hotels.
Is there a fuel surcharge?
There might be a fuel surcharge depending on the cost of fuel. It will up to the individual boat if there is one.
What happens if we do not catch any fish? Can you guarantee we will catch fish?
One of our biggest priorities is to make sure our guests catch lots of fish! Our Captain's and crews are incredibly skilled and the fleet is usually very successful, especially during the summer season. However, there are times when even the best captains and anglers strike out due to conditions beyond their control. Unfortunately, there are no refunds for trips that don't catch fish and no guarantee's that you will catch. We will do our absolute best to ensure you have a good trip, but it's called fishing and not catching for a reason.
What happens if our trip gets cancelled for weather?
In the unusual circumstance that your trip is cancelled due to dangerous weather conditions or mechanical failure you have several options. We can refund your money, hold your money as a credit for a future trip(s) or move your trip to a different boat/day (depending on availability).
Will the crew help/teach us if we are beginners?
Definitely! Each boat has crew dedicated to helping you have the best trip possible. We welcome beginners and the crews of each boat have a lot of experience helping new anglers. The crew will help you rig up your gear if are renting from us and they are always around to answer your questions. Keep in mind that the crew is responsible for every angler on the boat, so they may not be able to stay with you for the entirety of the trip, but you will be well taken care of.
Why are full day trips so much more expensive than half-days? Why do they require passports
One of the best destinations for a full-day trip is the Coronado Islands. However, in order to fish those waters, we have to comply with Mexico's laws. The Mexican government requires all visitors to purchase an FMM Visitor Visa when they are traveling to any area within 10 miles of a Mexican landmass. The ticket price is more expensive because it includes the cost of the FMM visa and the Mexican fishing license. Additionally, Mexican regulations require all visitors to have a valid passport with them when they travel.

Can I bring my own booze?
Unfortunately not, due to liquor license regulations. However, our boats do sell alcohol in their galley's.
Now that Marijuana is legal, can I smoke on your boats?
Marijuana despite it's legality is not allowed on our boats due to Coast Guard regulations. Please leave any Marijuana at home. Sorry
Can I bring my own food & cooler?
You are more than welcome to bring your own food with one exception. Coolers of any kind are not allowed on our boats. There is not enough deck space to accommodate everyone's coolers, and this creates a safety hazard. All of our boats sell meals so you don't have to worry about bringing food and drink if you don't want to.
Can we rent gear from you if we don't have our own?
Yes! We are fully stocked with high quality rental gear for any style of fishing you may do. The crew's of the boats can even help you rig up your gear and teach you how to use it. Prices vary per trip, contact us for more information.
I wanna go fishing, but I get sea sick, what should I do?
Seasickness is a pretty common problem, but we have a solution. Our onsite tackle shop sells Bonine which is an over-the-counter medication that helps relieve nausea and vomiting associated with motion sickness. Bonine is usually pretty effective, even if you have never been on a boat we recommend that you take some form of sea-sick medicine. Contact your physician for more details about which seasick medicines can have side effects.
Do you sell gift certificates?
Yes, we do, you can purchase a physical gift certificate for any amount and have it mailed to you.
