Lake Skinner Fishing Report

Lake Skinner Marina Staff

Striped Bass: Chicken liver or cut bait down at the dam and inlet area will work best. Not to much action this past week. Lake skinner is now open and ready to be fished.

Bluegill: Similar to last week. Mini jigs tipped with a meal worm or cricket are usually most productive. Shore fishing and shallow areas.

Catfish: Really no action on Catfish this past week. Use chicken liver, anchovies, mackerel or night cralwers on the bottom throughout the lake but especially near Ramp 2 or the inlet area. Catfishing is relatively slow lately.

Largemouth: Largemouth have been in coves and reeds, water level is back up. Jerk bait as well as night crawlers are effective currently for active fish. Creature baits can work well for the more lethargic fish.

Trout: Last trout plant was March 23rd. Powerbait is the best way to go.

Carp: No action to be reported.
