Smooth sailing

A day of leisure as we unwound from a week of hard fishing in travel mode. Complimenting the passage north was fine weather and calm seas. The magic combo that makes any day offshore special along this route in particular the luxury of such conditions cannot be overstated. So passed the day that saw anglers at ease, reminiscing, and hatching plans for future runs. On schedule for a morning arrival in the beautiful southern enclave of Cabo San Lucas anglers will disembark in favor of the express route home or a few “extry” days of fun in the sun.
The boys and I will pilot our beloved Royal Star up the line intent on meeting our scheduled arrival time on Friday. Photos today captured the moments just prior to our friend Jonny Harrington triumphing over this spectacularly beautiful 175 pound class yellowfin tuna.
